Grant Park Summer Shade Festival Is This Weekend

A free, family-friendly event is taking place this weekend and it supports a good cause.
The 14th annual Grant Park Summer Shade Festival is organized by and benefits the Grant Park Conservancy.
The event includes a 5K run, a farmers’ market, local food trucks, craft beer and a Kids Zone.
“You know, there’s a little something for everyone,” said Jason Winston, the co-chair of the GPSSF. “We’ve got a real diverse music line-up this year. So we really got something we think all people from Atlanta will really enjoy.”
Among the performers taking the stage this weekend: Michelle Malone, Flat Duo Jets, Greg Lee and Marshall Ruffin.
More than 30,000 people are expected to attend.
