Hip Hop Music Producer Develops Education Foundation
You may not know his name but your kids will probably recognize his work.
Kevin Cates is a Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum selling music producer.
He’s the founder and developer of Bridge Da Gap, an education based a curriculum that teaches character building traits through hip hop music.
Cates used a million dollars of his own money to start Bridge Da Gap.
Students get a text book and music CD. Topics include bullying, self-esteem, gang violence and teen pregnancy.
Each lesson plan teaches character building traits and addresses issues students are familiar with.
