Atlanta’s Oakland Cemetery is lighting up once again for the annual Illumine Festival with the theme of “Trees.”

Art installations and beautiful lighting displays will celebrate the pride of Atlanta’s ecology and its gorgeous trees … particularly, the magnificent magnolias, dogwoods and oaks of our city’s oldest cemetery. Illumine is welcoming guests for after-dark tours of the grounds, live music, craft cocktails and a pop-up shop April 27-May 7.

In this interview, Sandy White, director of adult programs at Oakland Cemetery, spoke with “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes about the festival.

“In this green space, we will have our musical acts so people will be able to stop and have a seat, listen to music and enjoy,” White said.
