The fourth indictment of Donald Trump covers charges that the other three do not, including Georgia state RICO charges.

While there is some overlap of the federal indictment for Trump’s effort to stay in office following his election defeat in 2020, this indictment in Fulton County focuses on Trump’s effort to flip the state of Georgia.

Former President Donald Trump and a group of 18 lawyers, operatives and campaign allies have been indicted by a grand jury in Fulton County for working to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election result.

University of Georgia Law School Emeritus Professor Ron Carlson spoke with WABE’s “All Things Considered” about why District Attorney Fani Willis might have chosen this strategy, and what may be next in the case.
