I-85 Lane Closures This Weekend

The Georgia Department of Transportation is installing signs, so it will close three lanes of I-85 southbound from just north of Clairmont Road to North Druid Hills Road.
When the lane closures start depends on the weather, but it could be as early as noon Saturday according to GDOT spokesman Mark McKinnon. “We’re putting up an overhead sign structure that goes all the way across the interstate,” says McKinnon. “And, of course, that requires a crane, and that crane has to get into the center of the interstate.”
In the evening hours, four lanes will be closed. The closures will continue through Sunday, but GDOT says the work should be finished before rush hour Monday morning.
