The Georgia State Election Board is facing criticism for changing rules, specifically one that involves the certification of election results.

There have also been calls for board members Janelle King, Janice Johnston, and Rick Jeffares to be removed from the board for violating the Open Meetings Act and the Code of Ethics. This all comes just months ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

On Monday’s edition of “Closer Look,” King told show host Rose Scott that she and her fellow board members have no intention of stepping down from the election board.

She further explained how the new certification rule will promote uniformity across all counties in Georgia and allow election officials to review all documents before certifying an election.
