Kabir Seghal drops his debut classical guitar album

To properly list Kabir Sehgal’s credentials could take as long as our scheduled interview.

In brief, Sehgal is a businessman, a bestselling author across several literary genres, founder of a media production company, a jazz bassist and music producer (with 16 Grammy Awards on his mantle), a Navy veteran and most recently, a classical guitarist.

His list of past collaborations includes the Dalai Lama, Deepak Chopra and recently, Atlanta rapper Lil’ Jon, with whom he produced the album of guided meditations, “Total Meditation.” Sehgal has just released his debut classical guitar album titled “Guitar Spring: Music for a New Season,” featuring pieces by composers including Erik Satie, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Francisco Tarrega.

The recording is out now on Sehgal’s own Tiger Turn label. He joins Lois Reitzes of “City Lights” to discuss his newest album as well as his favorite collaborations.
