When Vice President Kamala Harris made repeat visits to Atlanta last month, it was as the running mate to President Joe Biden as the pair pursued a second term in office.
Harris will return to the city on Tuesday as the Democrats’ presumptive presidential nominee with a groundswell of energy, donations and momentum behind her.
She will visit Atlanta on July 30 for a campaign event, a source familiar with her schedule told WABE. Further details will be released soon.

Harris is riding a wave of momentum following President Joe Biden’s announcement on Sunday that he was dropping out of the race. She’s raised over $100 million and has reportedly secured the number of delegates she needs to clinch the nomination heading into the Democratic National Convention on Aug. 19-22.
Harris has been a regular visitor to Georgia. She’s made at least five campaign visits to Georgia this year. Tuesday’s visit will be the first of her presidential campaign.
