Destination Theatre is premiering a brand new play by Georgia author, playwright and Kennesaw State University professor Aaron Levy.

“The Student Body” is “a play for teens… and the adults in their lives,” as its author describes it, and it presents a fictional high school in the wake of a community tragedy, grappling to find an appropriate response.

Opening night is on Aug. 9, with additional performances on weekends at the Chaddick Theater, located at the Galloway School.  “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes spoke with Levy, as well as director Megan Cramer about the new play.

“One of the things that is exciting to us is the intersection of mental health and art and how watching people wrestle with some of these issues can be a really powerful way for people to start to question things about themselves,” said Cramer.
