Atlanta, GA – Everybody has a back story when it comes to why they're in the race it's fun, they get a free t-shirt or they simply love the Peachtree Road Race.
For 39-year-old Andrew Freeman he says time was running out:
(it's something I've always wanted to do, keep this kidney healthy)
Freeman consulted with his kidney transplant team and received medical clearance to run the race but he admits training wasn't always fun:
(I hate running, it's not as bad as I thought it would be)
After months of training Andrew Freeman finally went for a trial run:
(It wasn't as bad dodging cars and trucks)
On the eve of the big race
In an email he writes
I Feel good. A little nervous but that's it.
Knee is better.
Thank god the weather is supposed to be fine for running.
