The St. Francis de Sales Latin Mass Community was founded in 1995 and moved between various parishes and even a funeral home before finding its permanent home in Mableton in 1999.
The mass is celebrated according to the Rites of the 1962 Roman Missal. St. Francis de Sales is the only parish in the Archdiocese of Atlanta committed to preserving the traditional Latin Mass. It is one of four such personal parishes in the United States and Canada and the only one in the South.
