Local Chef Leanna Pierre shares Southern and Caribbean cuisine on PBS' 'The Great American Recipe'

On “The Great American Recipe,” the cooking competition show streaming on PBS, amateur chefs prepare recipes from regional American cuisines, as well as their own family backgrounds bringing flavors from all over the world.

Season 2 premiered on June 19 with an Atlanta-area contestant, Leanna Pierre, who brings her best Southern and Caribbean flavors to the table. In this interview, “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes spoke with chef Leanna Pierre via Zoom about her experience on the show.
