The superintendent of Marietta City Schools says concerns about the safety of students and staff keep him up at night.
Dr. Grant Rivera says, since the pandemic started, he and his team have had to make challenging decisions to protect the health of the Marietta City Schools community.
In mid-July, the district decided to pivot to a full virtual model to start the fall semester, but students and staff will soon have the option to return to school for in-person learning.
On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Superintendent Rivera talks with host Rose Scott about MCS’ five-part, phased reopening plan called “Flexible Approach to Teaching and Learning.”
During the conversation, Rivera talks about what students, parents and teachers can expect when schools open for in-person instruction on Sept. 8.
