MARTA’s double-decker bus made its debut Monday in Clayton County.
The transit agency is road testing the new vehicle around the Justice Center and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Officials with MARTA said double-decker buses will help provide better service on routes with high ridership.
Over the next few weeks, MARTA will try out various routes. One issue: The nearly 14-foot-tall bus isn’t able to navigate under some bridges in the metro area.
The buses cost nearly $900,000 and can hold up to 100 riders.
