Monday is the 39th annual Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, and as it’s been for nearly four decades, the remaining family of Dr. King is calling on people to treat it as a “day on, not a day off.”
Atlanta’s King Center has dubbed the theme for 2024 as “Shifting the Cultural Climate through the Study and Practice of Kingian Nonviolence.”

Virgin joined “All Things Considered” to talk about what he learned and what events are planned for the King holiday.
