A wild night of unscripted antics with some of the best in the business awaits Atlanta’s comedy fans. A group of improvisers led by comedy legends Rachel Dratch and Matt Walsh will harken back to their shared roots with the famed improv ensemble “Second City.”
“Chicago-Style Improv: Dratch, Walsh & Friends” is on stage at the Aurora Theatre on Jan. 10, and Matt Walsh recently joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to discuss the upcoming show.
The show promises a night of unscripted hilarity and nostalgic nods to their shared roots with the Chicago improv hub. Walsh shared his love for improv’s spontaneous nature and its collaborative spirit.
“The show has never happened before and will never happen again,” he said, “there’s something exciting about creating in the moment with no script.”
Fans of Walsh’s comedic versatility on “Veep” will recognize the ensemble dynamic that fuels his performances, whether on screen or stage.
