Reed told a group of government, business and nonprofit leaders that the Atlanta BeltLine’s $22 million budget for the coming fiscal year will protect more than 1,300 acres of green space.

In a speech, Reed said, “We will create thousands of jobs in the process, and we will build out the City of Atlanta’s infrastructure and improve the quality of life for years to come.”

More than $16 million of the budget is supposed come from the BeltLine Tax Allocation District (TAD).

Invest Atlanta, the city’s economic development agency, is scheduled to vote on the budget next week.
