The Metro Atlanta Chamber has a new leader.
Earlier this month, Katie Kirkpatrick was named president and CEO of the 160-year-old organization that focuses on economic development, public policy and promotion.
On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look” Kirkpatrick told the show’s host Rose Scott, that in the wake of all that’s happening in Atlanta as it relates to protests and police violence, she committed to having conversations that promote change.
“My hope in this new leadership role is that we can take and learn from those conversations and build a brighter future and accelerate change for our region,” said Kirkpatrick.
During the conversation, Kirkpatrick also talked about what leadership means to her and her top three goals for the chamber over the next 100 days.
