Mo Rocca talks 'Roctogenerians' with Lois Reitzes in Decatur

Mo Rocca (David Tumblety)

American humorist Mo Rocca confesses in his new book, “Roctogenerians,” “I prefer profiling older actors and luminaries over buzzy young talents … Part of it is that I’m an old soul myself, perhaps because my parents were older when they had me. Older people just have more to say, more stories. They’re more likely to say what they think, less afraid of what others think of them.”

“Roctogenerians: Late in Life Debuts, Comebacks and Triumphs” by Mo Rocca and Jonathan Greenberg is the perfect antidote to a culture obsessed with youth. WABE listeners love hearing him on “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me.” “CBS Sunday” viewers connect with him in the most personal way, and readers of Rocca’s previous books have another reason to rejoice.

On June 13, Rocca joined Lois Reitzes of “City Lights” for a live show at the First Baptist Church of Decatur, sharing some of the delightful, uplifting (but not facelifting) stories from this collection.
