In 2006, Jonathan Baker, Jeff Heck and Joel Iverson were recent Atlanta transplants. They met at a weekly Bible study but soon discovered that they had another commonality—a love for brewing beer.

On Monday nights after work, they would get together to loosen their ties from their 9-to-5 jobs and learn the craft of brewing beer. Over time, their experimentation in Jeff’s driveway began to draw in a crowd of neighbors and friends.

Those Monday night sessions led to them quitting their day jobs and opening a proper brewery and taproom under the brand Monday Night Brewing.

In the last 13 years, Monday Night Brewing has evolved into the nationally recognized brand that we see today in grocery stores, gas stations, bars, and restaurants.

Heck, who now serves as CEO, Iverson, who serves as the Chief Project Officer and brewmaster Kiley recently invited “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to the Monday Night Garage for a “Lagers with Lois” event to discuss the magic behind the brews.
