The Movement for Black Lives was created to foster a national space for Black people to learn, organize and have dialogue about political conditions.

The national network of more than 150 leaders and organizations is supporting the Uncommitted National Movement, a campaign that has been critical of the Biden administration’s response to the war in Gaza.

On Thursday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Rukia Lumumba, the director of the Movement for Black Lives’ Electoral Justice Project, talked with show host Rose Scott about some of the top issues her organization is concerned about this election cycle and ongoing efforts to encourage voters to make informed selections when casting their ballots.
