Britney Whaley says the Working Families Party is a “nondelusional political party” that’s working to build a governing power that represents working families.

Whaley, who serves as the southeast regional director of the Working Families Party, was a guest on Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look.” This episode is the second in a series that focuses on the work of third parties amid the 2024 election.

She talked with show host Rose Scott about the party’s history, mission and top priorities this election cycle. She also discussed her party’s opposition to the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center and its endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris for president.

The Working Families Party is currently backing several candidates running in county commission, state house, and state senate races in Fulton, Gwinnett, and Henry counties, as well as in districts covering the cities of Macon and Savannah.
