New Callanwolde E.D. on Goals for Fine Arts Center

Callanwolde Fine Arts Center has offered community arts classes and hosted events since the mid-1970s. The new executive director, Peggy Still Johnson, says she’s interested in expanding what Callanwolde does—focusing on the needs of low-income and special needs students, as well as veterans.

Johnson has been active in arts leadership across Georgia for years. She founded the Peggy Still School of  Music, served on the Advisory Board of the Georgia State University School of Music, and in the Atlanta Chapter of the Recording Academy—That’s the Grammys. She’s also an active composer and arranger.

Host John Lemley sat down with Johnson to discuss her new role at Callanwolde—and her hopes for the center.
