The Carter Center recently appointed new leadership.
Paige Alexander began her new role as president and CEO of the Atlanta-based non-governmental organization in June. She succeeds retiring Ambassador Mary Ann Peters.
On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Alexander joined host Rose Scott for a conversation about her vision for the role of the Center during COVID-19 pandemic, and amid protests calling for racial justice.
“These conversations are happening. At the Carter Center they’ve been happening for a while,” Alexander said. “And so, I see this as an opportunity to elevate the discussion.”
