Nothing is more important than leading with the truth, says Esosa Osa. She is the founder of Onyx Impact. The Atlanta-based organization seeks to understand how Black people engage with information and fight against harmful disinformation that intentionally targets Black voters.

On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Osa talks with show host Rose Scott about a new report that shines a light on how disinformation targets and affects Black communities online.

Osa talks about what stories are gaining the most traction and how those same outlets can wield their influence to stop disinformation. She also discusses the importance of building a healthier information environment.
