Nikole Hannah-Jones on the public and personal impact of 'The 1619 Project'

On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” the Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Nikole Hannah-Jones chatted with show host Rose Scott at the Fulton County Central Library before a live audience.

Scott asked Hannah-Jones to revisit August 18, 2019 — the night before she published her groundbreaking work. From there, the writer shared the personal and public impact of her efforts.

The interview was part of this week’s special programming centered around Juneteenth and “Closer Look’s” annual live broadcast from the Atlanta History Center.
