Novel ‘We Are All Good People Here’ Explores Awakening Social Consciousness
The novel by Susan Rebecca White, “We Are All Good People Here” follows the lives of two very different young women from the time they become college roommates in 1962.
The story spans 30 years of American history, from JFK’s Camelot to the election of Bill Clinton. Much of the narrative is set in Atlanta.
White is the author of four novels: “Bound South,” “A Soft Place to Land,” “A Place at the Table” and “We Are All Good People Here.”
A graduate of Brown University and the MFA program at Hollins University, Susan has taught creative writing at Hollins, Emory, SCAD, and Mercer University, where she was the Ferrol A. Sams, Jr. Distinguished Chair of English Writer-in-Residence.
An Atlanta native, White lives in Atlanta with her husband and son.
White will speak tomorrow at the AJC Decatur Book Festival.
