Two exhibits are running at the same time. The first one features paintings by Georgia O'Keeffe and some of her contemporaries influenced by her husband, the photographer Alfred Stieglitz. The second, TRANSactions, features works by several contemporary Latin American and Latino artists.
Atlanta, Georgia –
Two new exhibitions are on view now at the High Museum of Art. The first is “Georgia O'Keefe and Women of the Stieglitz Circle“. The High Museum's show places O'Keefe's work in the context of her husband, the famous photographer, Alfred Stieglitz. He discovered and nurtured the careers of other women artists in the early 20th century. The exhibition is co-organized with the Georgia O'Keefe Museum in Santa Fe. The other exhibit is “TRANSactions: Contemporary Latin American and Latino Art“. Both are on view at the High Museum through May 4th. WABE's Lois Reitzes has this report.
