Ellen DeLoach was an Atlanta-based artist whose works were exhibited locally and nationally. She was known for her abstracts, landscapes, and figurative works, which explored themes of triumph through faith.
Tragedy struck on Thanksgiving Day in 2015 when Ellen and her husband, Brad DeLoach, were murdered by Ellen’s son. A collection of works by Ellen DeLoach is on view at the Avery Gallery in Marietta through May 30.
The exhibition is titled “Nesting: Loss, Triumph, and Redemption.” In this interview, Jessica Hanna, Ellen Deloach’s surviving daughter, spoke with “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes about the exhibit.
