Since 1991, the PATH Foundation has been promoting healthy living and building and developing Atlanta’s trail system for walkers, runners, skaters and cyclists.
Greta deMayo, executive director of the PATH Foundation, says the nonprofit’s mission is to transform Atlanta into the most trail-connected city in the country.
“We’ve been working for the past 30 years connecting and inspiring communities of all races and nationalities and social-economic kind of statuses by creating this conduit of trail systems,” said deMayo on Monday’s edition of “Closer Look, ” while reflecting on the history and mission of PATH.
During the conversation, deMayo talked with host Rose Scott about the process of building trails, the foundation’s summer anniversary challenge, recent trail upgrades and the use of trails amid the pandemic.
