Evening News Editor
Most of my job entails getting our reporters’ stories the best they can be before they air. I really enjoy being involved in every beat, I get to learn so much about Atlanta and Georgia. So as an editor, I get to cover a little bit of everything: from breaking news, to weather updates, to all the interesting morsels of information I can find.
You could say I started in journalism at the age of 10 when I convinced my fourth-grade teacher to start a school newspaper with me. All jokes aside, I’ve long had a great love for radio and audio storytelling I was determined to pursue. My first gig was as a podcast producer and religion journalist in Washington D.C. Later, I earned my M.A. in Mass Communication at the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications while working part-time for the in-house, student-run public radio station WUFT. That’s where I trained as an “All Things Considered” producer and newscaster while also producing award-winning podcasts for the station. After graduating, I stayed at the station producing statewide weather reporting for the Florida Public Radio Emergency Network. Finally, in 2023, I found my way to WABE.
