The Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland is a natural wonder, a popular tourist destination and the basis for one of the island’s most magical and mythical tales.

Aris Theatre brings this story to life in their production of “The Legend of Finn McCool,” written and composed by Aris co-founder Rob Shaw-Smith. The play runs for two weeks beginning June 16 at the Academy Theatre in Hapeville.

In this interview, writer, director, composer and Aris co-founder Rob Shaw-Smith spoke with “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes about the production.

“Essentially, you have to figure out how the music either captures a moment or how it moves your narrative along, moves your plot along,” says Shaw-Smith.

Aris Theatre’s production of “The Legend of Finn McCool” is on stage June 16-25 at Academy Theatre in Hapeville. More information is available here.
