- 0:00: Rose gives a news brief about how some Atlanta areas may see scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. According to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, some of these thunderstorms could be severe. The National Weather Service cautions that the biggest hazards could be isolated tornadoes, very large hail up to two inches in diameter, damaging winds, and frequent lightning. The increased chances for any tornadic activity is for portions of North Georgia.
