• 0:00: Over the Thanksgiving holiday, two businesses in the Cabbagetown neighborhood were vandalized. Those claiming to be the perpetrators of the crime submitted a blog post saying it was done in response to concerns about gentrification in the community. A round table discussion with the owners of the vandalized businesses Stefan Lewinger and Futhum Tewolde, co-founders of Sock Fancy, and Bobby Russell, co-owner of Brother Moto. Also joining the conversation is Katie Butler, president of the Cabbagetown Neighborhood Improvement Association.
• 22:42: After recent news of two separate incidents where suspected DUI drivers hit law enforcement officers while in their vehicles, the Forsyth County Sheriff took to Facebook to warn of the dangers and penalties of a DUI, and pledged increased DUI patrols. We speak to the director of the Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and a sergeant serving on the Georgia State Patrol’s Nighthawks DUI Task Force to learn more about efforts to identify – and prevent – drunk driving in Georgia.
