  • 35:35: While her brothers John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy and Ted Kennedy were being groomed by their father for political careers that would lead to the White House and the Senate, Eunice Kennedy was starting her own journey, one that would lead her to fight on behalf of millions of children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Eileen McNamara, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and author of “Eunice: The Kennedy Who Changed the World” joins us to talk about her book on the life of Eunice Kennedy and her family. We’ll also hear about the Kennedy family’s role in the civil rights movement and how the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy, almost two months to the day after Dr. King’s assassination, shaped the year 1968.
