- 0:00: Rose gives a news brief on Marietta City Council’s plan to vote on an ordinance to ban dockless e-scooters in the city. The ordinance was recommended for approval in a work session held by the council Monday night. Ward 3 Councilmember Johnny Walker says there are no scooters in the City of Marietta yet, and that the goal of the ordinance is to keep it that way. He plans to vote “yes” to banning dockless e-scooters tonight. He says he thinks the ordinance will help keep Marietta Square safe and clutter-free.
- 10:52: Last year, the Georgia General Assembly passed legislation creating the Atlanta-region Transit Link Authority, or The ATL. The organization, overseen by a 16-member board, was charged with creating a transit plan for 13 counties and coordinating existing transit services in that region. How will the organization reach this goal? Chris Tomlinson, Interim Executive Director of the Atlanta-Region Transit Link Authority, joins us in studio to share his plans for the governing body.
- 30:30: Closer Look’s Open for Business series continues with a trip to Mableton, where husband and wife team Teresa Rodriguez and Oscar Muniz recently opened their family-run Puerto-Rican restaurant, Sabores Boutique Café. Muniz and Rodriguez share how they started their business, why Mableton was the best place to launch a restaurant focusing on Puerto Rican cuisine and share what’s on the menu.
