Closer Look: Year-in-Review With Kids
December 15, 2017
Friday on “Closer Look with Rose Scott”:
As another year comes to a close, it’s time for a look back. A 2017 year-end review with … kids! In this special edition of Closer Look, we will speak with two groups of kids ages 9-13 about topics that matter to them.
- 0:00: First, Rose gives a news brief on the final day day of open enrollment for Obamacare, and the approaching deadline for Atlanta Mayoral candidate Mary Norwood to contest the election results.
- 2:00: In our first kids round table, Rose speaks to 13-year-old Diego and 11-year-old Shanti about their school year, their favorite subjects and more.
- 28:09: We revisit previous conversations with kids on Closer Look. Jackson Kelly was the Georgia representative for the 2016 Healthy Lunchtime Challenge — a nationwide recipe challenge for kids to promote cooking and healthy eating as part of then First Lady Michelle Obama’s healthy eating initiatives. And we also revisit the time then 9-year old Ava Kofke stopped by to talk about her children’s book titled ‘The Financial Angel: What All Kids Should Know About Money.’
- 39:44: In our second round table, Rose speaks to 11-year-old Jerry Bruce and 13-year-old Ransom about school, bullying, big life changes and more.
