Red carpet greets Atlanta’s Hope-Hill students on first day of school

Thursday marked the first day back to class for several schools in and around Atlanta.
Clayton, Cobb, Marietta, Coweta, Douglas and Henry counties are among more than 20 school districts that welcomed students back from summer vacation this morning.
The “Closer Look” team stopped by Atlanta Public Schools’ Hope-Hill Elementary School in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood.
School staff rolled out the red carpet for early-morning drop-off as students entered the building one by one to kick off another school year.
