Reed on Meet the Press
On NBC’s Meet the Press today, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed again joined the political debate over who should win this year’s Presidential election.
Reed has now been on the show 4 times since February of last year. Each time, the Democrat supports President Obama’s policies and re-election bid. This time was no different.
Host David Gregory asked Mayor Reed if a recent report showing job growth slowed last month helps presumptive Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
“I don’t think it will be,” said Reed. “At the end of the day, we all knew this was going to be tough.”
Reed went on to accuse Republicans of having “amnesia” about the number of jobs created since Mr. Obama has been President and the consistency of the growth.
“To have an entire conversation without putting those facts on the table is really stunning to me,” said Reed.
Most of the roundtable, which featured Reed, another Democrat and two Republicans, was a back and forth debate about Obama’s record as President and Romney’s record as Governor of Massachusetts.
