Remembering Van Cliburn in Atlanta

  Pianist Van Cliburn, who died Feb. 27 at the age of 78, became a music superstar when he won the Tchaikovsky competition in Russia at the height of the Cold War in 1958.  

Cliburn’s musicianship, humility and charm won him fans all over the world, and Atlanta was no exception.An appreciation of Van Cliburn.
