Mother Jones reporter to attend RNC, notes Christian nationalism steadily gaining influence

Next week, Republicans will hold their national convention in the battleground state of Wisconsin. In addition to the likelihood of naming Donald Trump as their presidential nominee, GOP members will roll out their party’s platform. It comes amid growing concern about Project 2025 and the Republican Party’s association with Christian nationalism.
On Thursday’s edition of “Closer Look with Rose Scott,” we’re joined by Kiera Butler, a senior editor & reporter for Mother Jones and The Center for Investigative Reporting. She’s attending the convention and will focus on the growing influence of Christian nationalists in the GOP.
