Sally Bethea: Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper

Since 1966, Southern Living Magazine has been many things to its readers:  Part cooking instructor, part travel guide, part home designer and decorator.  Adding “bestower of regional accolades” to its resume this month, it revealed its list of those receiving “Heroes of the New South” awards.  The recipient in the Eco-preservation category was Sally Bethea, Executive Director of the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper.  She took a few minutes to speak with us, where else, but along the banks of the Hooch.
