Second Chance for Southeast Atlanta Mural?

A mural in Southeast Atlanta at risk of getting painted over may get a reprieve. Living Walls, the group that curated the mural by Argentinean artist Hyuro, tells WABE that they will discuss the issue with Chosewood Park residents during a planned neighborhood meeting on September 10th. The meeting comes after the owners of the property gained approval for the mural from the city and asked property owners to reconsider covering the up the mural.

Some residents, including representatives from a local mosque, have objected to the mural, because it features female nudity.

WABE News’ Michelle Wirth has more.
