Songwriter Ben Trickey blends experimental, country and slowcore music to create a feeling of transcendence

He is a Southern indie songwriter and musician from Alabama, but he is now Atlanta-based. His band mixes experimental, country and slowcore music.
“It’s really about creating an atmosphere of intensity for language and poetry, just trying to take feelings and create something beautiful and transcend,” Trickey said.
He and his band will perform an experimental set on Nov. 29 for Videodrome’s 25th anniversary at Argosy. You can find more information about upcoming shows on his Instagram.
