Atlanta, GA – State Rep. Bobby Franklin (R-Marietta) was found dead in his home on Tuesday, July 26th. An outspoken religious conservative, Franklin angered many with some of his legislative proposals; but he also played a major role in designing the state flag that flies today. WABE's Denis O'Hayer looked at Franklin's complex career with House Democratic Leader Stacey Abrams of Atlanta, and with the dean of the Senate, Americus Democrat George Hooks, who worked with Franklin on the flag.
