StoryCorps: Gartine Callaway Davis and Katie Terrell

Gartine Callaway Davis grew up the daughter of a farmer-turned-Airforce bombardier one of the men who dropped bombs during World War Two. The couple met as students at University of Georgia in the early 1940s. At StoryCorps, Gartine told her own daughter, Katie Terrell, about her parents’ first days together at UGA.
