Students from Final Four Universities Volunteer to Help Atlanta’s Needy

There’s also a community service aspect to the Final Four. The four schools helped out an organization in Norcross Saturday morning.

A crowd of around 100 people packed into the narrow hallways of a self storage facility to sort through boxes and boxes of clothing & toiletry donations.

17 year old Sidney Cooper is busy organizing women’s clothes for Lift Up Atlanta. She’s from Atlanta but will be a freshman at the University of Louisville next year as a member of their volleyball team.

“Well, it’s important to me because I live here in Atlanta, but I’m going to go to University of Louisville. And it’s important to me to be able to help my community from within my own school. And I think it’s awesome that all the schools can come together and different organizations can come together to support our community”.

Once all this work is done, Lift Up Atlanta will distribute the personal hygiene kits and clothing to Atlanta’s homeless and needy families.
