A Talk with Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed About Storm Cleanup and the Last Month’s Lessons
While some City of Atlanta residents did lose power during the ice storm of February, 2014, most were spared that effect of the bad weather. That allowed the City government to focus on clearing roads–something Mayor Kasim Reed had promised would be done quickly. Two weeks ago, the Mayor defended the City’s road-clearing efforts amid criticism of the City and State response to that earlier storm. On February 13, 2014, the Mayor spoke with WABE’s Denis O’Hayer, during a WABE News special on the current storm.
