The City Of Tucker Expanding Its Workforce, Hosting Massive Job Fair On Wednesday

As Georgia’s unemployment rate sits at 4.5%, according to the Georgia Department of Labor, local leaders from a city in DeKalb County are working to attract new workers.

“We want everybody that’s willing to work and we have a lot of companies that are willing to help,” said Emory Morsberger, the president of the Tucker Summit Community Improvement District (TSCID).

Morsberger, who spearheads infrastructure, economic and business development projects for TSCID was a guest on Monday’s edition of “Closer Look.”

He talked with show host Rose Scott about how and why the city of Tucker area is experiencing an economic renaissance amid the pandemic.

Morsberger also discussed development happening in Tucker, the growing need for skilled workers and the Tucker “Back to Business” Job Fair, a new multi-agency initiative to attract more workers to the city.
