Carlyle Brown's play explores a time in American history when human and horse were traded equally as commodities
Atlanta, Ga – Long before the Negro Leagues and Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier, African Americans excelled in the sport of horseracing. There were legendary black jockeys, two of whom are the basis for the character of Simon Cato in “Pure Confidence,” playing now at Theatrical Outfit's Balzer Theatre through March 30th.
